Jakarta Transportation Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo said his side will cooperate with many sides to control illegal parking in Jakarta.

"We will cooperate with all stakeholders including Satpol PP, mayors, and Army/Police," he said, at Jakarta City Council Building, Thursday (6/26).

He added that his party has intensified the control of illegal parking by taking a persuasive approach with area managers to prevent illegal parking on sidewalks.

"Thanks to all stakeholders for joining with us to maintain orderliness of the city," he added.

Syafrin assessed Jakarta City Council's Special Committee of Parking's input to revise Bylaw Number 5/2012 is a constructive input.

"It's not just a matter of preparing regulations, but how regulations are adapted to current developments and needs in Jakarta," he stated.
