Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung is optimistic that the BTN Jakarta International Marathon (JAKIM) 2025 will give significant impacts for Jakarta's economy.

"It is reflected on the past events such as musics and sports. Moreover, this is the biggest marathon event in Jakarta," said Pramono, on his visit to Race Expo BTN Jakarta International Marathon 2025, at Kartika Expo, Balai Kartini, South Jakarta, Thursday (6/26).

Pramono added many three and four-star hotels along Jalan Sudirman, Thamrin, or Gatot Subroto have been fully booked. Pramono is optimistic this event will also bring positive impact for MSMEs.

The Jakarta Provincial Government, he added, will provide facilities and full support for the implementation of the Jakarta International Marathon event held on June 29. This marathon event is held with three categories, namely 10 kilometers, half marathon, and full marathon.

"Sport Agency Head said that almost all field problems are handled," he continued.

More than 31,000 participants will take part in this event, and 4,000 of them will take full marathon category.

631 runners from 51 countries will also enliven this event. According to him, the high enthusiasm of participants shows that Jakarta has now become a favorite destination for sports lovers, especially marathon running.

PT BTN Director, Nixon LP Napitupulu emphasizing the importance of organizing a well-planned and neat marathon event. Nixon hopes that the success of JAKIM 2025 can make Jakarta a world-class sports tourism destination.

"We are happy because we can organize a running event that is truly sterile, secure, safe, and smooth according to the tagline," he stated.
