Central Jakarta City Park and Forestry (Tamhut) Sub-agency taskforce handled fallen Mahoney tree on Jalan Dr Kusuma Atmaja RW 04 Menteng Urban Village, Tuesday (1/14).

Central Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Mila Ananda explained the seven meter height and 50 cm diameter Mahoney tree fell during heavy rain.

"We deployed five taskforce personnel to handle it," she explained.

The incident did not result in loss of life, serious injury or material loss.

Not only fallen Mahoney, Mila added, one rubber tree at Gambir Park, Central Jakarta Mayor Office also broken.

"There are 11 broken and four fallen trees in second week of January," she added.

Mila stated that her side keeps intensifying tree pruning to minimize broken and fallen trees.

Based on the data up to second week of January, light pruning was applied for 45 trees, medium pruning for 276 trees, and heavy pruning for 83 trees.
