The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) is urging Jakartans to prepare themselves with umbrellas and raincoats as it predicts that rain will pour over Jakarta and its surrounding areas on Friday from morning until night

"Light rain in the morning," stated BMKG's official site, Friday (12/6).

In the afternoon, light rain is expected in Central Jakarta, West Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Seribu Islands; while thunderstorms East Jakarta and South Jakarta.

Then in the late afternoon, most areas will be sunny and slightly cloudy.

At night, all areas will be cloudy.

Today's temperature ranges from 25 to 30 degrees Celsius with air humidity between 74 to 94 percent.
