Jakarta Vice Governor, Rano Karno visited the Pulogebang Integrated Bus Terminal Cakung, East Jakarta, Thursday (3/27).
The inspection result will become our evaluation
The visit aimed to ensure the homecoming service run well.
"Pulogebang Terminal is an A category that replaces the operational of Pulogadung and Rawamangun Terminals," he said, Thursday (3/27).
Rano explained that Pulogebang Terminal has direct access to and from the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR). This terminal is able to minimize traffic congestion in Jakarta.
Rano added there are 126 autobus companies serving the passengers inside the Pulogebang Bus Terminal. They provide 59 routes with total 1,057 inter-province buses.
Joint integrated posts, he continued, are also provided to monitor and handle the Pulogebang Terminal operation. Joint personnel of Transportation Agency, Transportation Ministry, Army, Police, and Satpol PP guard the posts.
Then there are health posts with two work shifts. Each shifts is filled with three health personnel from Pulogebang Integrated Terminal Management Unit and 10 health personnel of Jakarta Health Agency.
Health personnel provide health check and urine test for drivers and bus crews. They also serve travelers who have minor health problems. The travelers will be immediately referred to the nearest hospital if they have more serious symptoms.
Jakarta Transportation Agency has also ensured the roadworthiness of inter-province buses by conducting ramp check.
Rano admitted his visit was not only to ensure the operational services, but also to check the saber pungli post located on the 2nd floor of Building B of the Pulogebang Integrated Terminal.
"Thanks God there is no illegal levies report. So I appreciate Transportation Agency for serving the operational well. The inspection result will become our evaluation for next year," Rano stated.
