The Jakarta Social Agency (Dinsos) remains on standby with the Disaster-Ready Villages to anticipate potential disasters during the Idulfitri holiday.

This is a form of commitment from the Jakarta Government

It aims to ensure preparedness for extreme weather and other disasters that may occur in Jakarta.

Jakarta Dinsos Head, Premi Lasari said, they had prepared the logistics and equipment needed for the operation of Disaster-Ready Villages, including independent kitchens at the affected locations.

"The Disaster-Ready Village has been prepared and the logistics are available if they need to set up kitchens. The equipment has also been distributed in advance during the launch," he expressed, Thursday (3/27).

The Dinsos is also monitoring disaster-prone areas during Idulfitri. Based on previous experiences, flooding from upstream causes the Ciliwung River to overflow, making East Jakarta and South Jakarta the areas that are most anticipated.

Additionally, he emphasized that members of the Disaster-Ready Village celebrating Idulfitri in Jakarta must remain alert and always be ready to coordinate in the event of a disaster.

"We've directed those celebrating Idulfitri in Jakarta to remain alert. At the very least, their phones must always be active for ease of communication," he added.

Dinsos had also arranged the duty schedule for the Idulfitri holiday for its staff. Non-Muslim employees would remain on standby at the office, while Muslim officers celebrating Idulfitri in Jakarta are on alert from home and can quickly report to the location if needed.

With the logistics, fleet, and personnel prepared, the Dinsos ensured that disaster response services continue to operate optimally during the Idulfitri holiday.

"This is a form of commitment from the Jakarta Government to provide protection and assistance to communities affected by disasters," he stated.
