Some 15 trees were planted in Kober Rawa Bunga Public Cemetery (TPU) area, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Friday (10/4). It was packaged in the Jumat Menanam or Friday Planting program.
East Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency Head, Djauhar Arifin said tree planting was conducted to make the TPU area greener because the access area still looked barren, so several shade trees needed to be planted.
"We planted 15 trees consisting of one tree type Pule and 14 trees type Ketapang Kencana," he expressed.
The tree planting involved 35 personnel from ASN Sub-agency elements, heads of 10 sub-districts, and Parks Task Force. According to him, this tree planting program will continue to be conducted routinely.
"Hopefully, it can improve greening in East Jakarta," he stated.
